Hickory entered their tilt with Alexander Central on Monday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Cougars 3-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Tornadoes also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2022.

Hickory not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Alexander Central between 18 and 19 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-18, 25-19.

Leading Hickory to victory were Ryan Hines and Ella Kate Stewart. Hines had five digs and two aces, while Stewart had 11 digs and two assists. That's the most aces Hines has posted over her last six contests.

They weren't the only good servers: Hickory was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive matches.

Hickory's record is now 26-4. As for Alexander Central, they dropped their record down to 13-6 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Hickory didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Bandys on the 9th. As for Alexander Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Freedom on the 7th.
