Soccer Game Preview: Ferris vs. Venus

The Ferris Yellowjackets will venture away from home to take on the Venus Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ferris is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.5 goals per game this season.

Ferris will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up one goal on Friday, then bounced right back against Hillsboro on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets blew past the Eagles 6-2. Kaden Gonzalez was a massive factor in the win as he booted in four goals all by himself.

Meanwhile, Venus fell victim to Life Waxahachie and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They lost 6-0 to the Mustangs. Venus haven't had much luck with Life Waxahachie recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Ferris is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 25 goals over those seven matchups. As for Venus, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Ferris got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in February of 2025 against Venus by a conclusive 5-1 score. Do the Yellowjackets have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
