Ava Wombles Game Report: @ West Central co-op [Winchester-Bluffs]

Winning always takes teamwork, but on Monday Ava Wombles stepped things up a notch to give Pleasant Hill the 'W'. Wombles was unstoppable, not allowing a single earned run while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 11 consecutive appearances.

Looking ahead, Wombles and Pleasant Hill will head out to square off against Edwardsville at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Wombles had to take a defeat the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their matchup back in April of 2023 7-0.
