Basketball Recap: Daniel Wigginton and Cody Stansifer Secure Win for Berean Academy

A well-balanced attack led Berean Academy over Hixson in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. The Berean Academy Eagles were the clear victor by a 58-34 margin over the Hixson Wildcats. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 24 points or more this season.

Leading Berean Academy to victory were Cody Stansifer and Daniel Wigginton. Stansifer almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards, while Wigginton almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Those 17 points gave Stansifer a new career-high. Ethan Durham was another key player, putting up six points and five rebounds.

The victory made it two in a row for Berean Academy and bumps their season record up to 9-1. As for Hixson, they are on a 17-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

Berean Academy will head out on the road to face off against Oakwood Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Berean Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 62.9 points per game this season. Hixson has already played their next contest (against Soddy Daisy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
