Basketball Game Preview: West Brunswick Trojans vs. South Brunswick Cougars

The West Brunswick Trojans will head out to take on the South Brunswick Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. West Brunswick is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

On Monday, West Brunswick earned a 54-47 win over North Myrtle Beach.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead West Brunswick to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kveon Griffin, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 12 assists. Another player making a difference was Matthew McKenney, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 17 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, South Brunswick entered their game against North Brunswick on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Cougars lost 75-51 to the Scorpions.

West Brunswick's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for South Brunswick, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.

Everything went West Brunswick's way against South Brunswick in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as West Brunswick made off with a 64-42 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Trojans since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
