Bowdon took a 21-point loss the last time they faced off against South Paulding, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Red Devils won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Spartans 22-21. Winning may never get old, but the Red Devils sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The critical scores for Bowdon came from Amari King, Troi Brown, and Kate Robinson.

Bowdon didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Meg Robinson.

Bowdon's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for South Paulding, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-14.

Coincidentally, Bowdon and South Paulding will both be playing Mt. Zion the next time they take the field. The Spartans will head out to face the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Red Devils will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
