Basketball Recap: Scott's Branch Eagles vs. Hemingway Tigers

You can't lose the matchup if you win every quarter, and that was precisely the Scott's Branch Eagles's strategy against the Hemingway Tigers on Tuesday. Scott's Branch came out on top against the Tigers by a score of 55-47. That's two games straight that Scott's Branch has won by exactly eight points.

Scott's Branch's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nyren Bowman, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Kind, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Hemingway's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jerel Hampton, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Hampton also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Omarion Burgess, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Scott's Branch will be playing at home against the Flashes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Johnsonville will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Hemingway, they will head out on the road to square off against the Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Carvers Bay focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Wednesday.
