Grafton hadn't done well against Carrington recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Spoilers snuck past the Cardinals with an 18-14 victory. This was payback for the Spoilers, who suffered a 34-16 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Grafton has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 26 points this season. As for Carrington, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Grafton will face off against rival Rugby at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Carrington is set to take on their familiar foe Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon on Friday.
