Chris Ballard posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He struck out 13 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits, good enough for us to rate the performance as the best he's had all season long. Wooster is 4-1 when Ballard allows one or fewer earned runs, but 5-6-1 otherwise.

Ballard's strong effort led Wooster over Sparks and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Railroaders are limping into the matchup having lost 13 straight on the road dating back to last season.
