Meanwhile, Pleasure Ridge Park entered their tilt with Valley on Tuesday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Vikings a 21-0 shutout. Considering the Panthers have won eight games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Pleasure Ridge Park's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-12. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Holy Cross, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-8 record this season.

Holy Cross was able to grind out a solid victory over Pleasure Ridge Park in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 10-6. Will the Cougars repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
