League recap: Dees overpowering for Lafayette in past week

1A District 5's top pitcher this week was
Stephen Dees. He won one game and struck out seven batters.
Melody Christian Academy went from 8135 to 7731 in the
national rankings since last week after going 1-1 in the past seven days.
Melody Christian Academy is currently No. 414 in the Florida state rankings, with an overall record of 8-13.
Lafayette's pitching staff dominated this week, allowing only 10 hits and seven walks, both of which led the league. The Hornets have given up a mere 114 hits on the year in addition to compiling 153 strikeouts. Dees is the leader in that category with 93 Ks on the season.
