The Dalhart Wolves are taking a road trip to take on the Perryton Rangers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dalhart is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.9 runs per game this season.

Dalhart took a 15-run defeat the last time they faced off against Perryton, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Dalhart narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Perryton 4-2. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Sydni Hyer made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off six hits. Hyer was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Alyra Rivera was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3.

Dalhart hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Dalhart's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs over those games. As for Perryton, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-6.
