Baseball Game Preview: Grafton Black Hawks vs. Random Lake Rams

The Grafton Black Hawks will take on the Random Lake Rams at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Grafton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.

Grafton will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Nicolet, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Black Hawks came out on top against the Knights by a score of 8-3 on Monday. While the Black Hawks didn't have the best season last year (they finished 13-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Will Heinz was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Dylan Bodoh, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Random Lake didn't have quite enough to beat Kewaskum on Monday and fell 8-6. The loss was the Rams' first of the season.

Grafton's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-2. As for Random Lake, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 10-1.
