Softball Recap: Glastonbury Drops Season-High Score on South Windsor

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glastonbury). Everything went their way against the South Windsor Bobcats on Wednesday as they made off with a 15-5 victory. The Guardians haven't had any issues with the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Glastonbury got a massive performance out of Emily Thompson, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Taylor Page was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Glastonbury's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-8. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for South Windsor, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-14.

Looking ahead, Glastonbury will square off against Manchester at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for South Windsor, they will be playing at home against Edwin O. Smith at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
