Baseball Recap: Aberdeen Gets the Win

Aberdeen came out on top against Black Hills on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive nine-run first inning. The Bobcats took their game against the Wolves 10-6. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Aidan Baker was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Aberdeen's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-5 when he doesn't). Parker Hollingsworth also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Aberdeen's record now sits at 10-5. As for Black Hills, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Aberdeen will challenge rival Tumwater at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Black Hills is set to take on their familiar foe WF West at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
