Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Meadville). They blew past the Franklin Knights 62-6 at home on Friday. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 203rd, while the Knights are ranked 542nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meadville was led to victory by Jordan Lawrence and Jacoby Thompson. Lawrence rushed for 134 yards and two touchdowns, while Thompson rushed for 73 yards and a touchdown. Lawrence is becoming a predictor of Meadville's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 1-3 when he doesn't). Amari Grenaway also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Meadville will take on General McLane at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 1,051 yards in their previous games. As for Franklin, they will host Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Eisenhower's defense has only allowed 13.4 points per game this season, so Franklin's offense will have their work cut out for them.
