Basketball Recap: North Miami Comes Up Short

North Miami suffered their biggest loss since February 6, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 71-47 to the Hialeah Thoroughbreds. The game marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why North Miami lost, don't look at Calando Joseph. Despite the final result, he posted 12 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Allen Jules, who had nine points.

This is the second loss in a row for North Miami and nudges their season record down to 12-4. As for Hialeah, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-7.

North Miami has already played their next match, a 64-62 defeat against Carol City on the 30th. As for Hialeah, they will head out on the road to take on Northwestern at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Northwestern's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Hialeah has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
