Volleyball Recap: Concord Extends Winning Streak to Five

Concord waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Dansville Aggies. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Concord got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 23-25, 25-9.

Annie Saenz paced Concord's offense, picking up 16 kills. Saenz got some help from Bradie Lehman and her 30 assists. Saenz also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emma Burbo, each putting up five.

Concord's victory bumped their record up to 27-9-3. As for Dansville, they dropped their record down to 12-20-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Concord has already played their next matchup (against Homer), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Dansville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
