Volleyball Recap: Machias Wins Going Away Against Lee Academy

Machias won the last time they faced Lee Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pandas. Surprisingly, this marked the Bulldogs' fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-18, 25-10.

Olivia Reynolds paced Machias' offense, picking up 11 kills. Reynolds got some help from Justina Smith and her ten assists. Felicity Kelley controlled things from the service line, finishing with nine aces.

Machias' record is now 3-6. As for Lee Academy, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.

Machias has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Woodland on the 3rd. As for Lee Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calais at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th.
