Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santa Fe). They never let the Espanola Valley Sundevils get on the board and left with a 23-0 victory on Thursday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Demons considering their one-run performance the game before.

Darrell Carbajal was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and four RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Tokoroyoma, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

Santa Fe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Santa Fe pushed their record up to 4-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 11 hits in those games compared to only 5.11 in the others. As for Espanola Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9.

Looking ahead, Santa Fe will welcome St. Michael's at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Santa Fe's pitchers better be ready for this one: St. Michael's has averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Espanola Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Taos at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
