Lincoln proved they can win big last Friday (they won by nine) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Ohatchee Indians. The victory continues a trend for the Golden Bears in their matchups with the Indians: they've now won three in a row.

The team relied heavily on Cameron Pruitt, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddie Smith, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.

Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 22-13-1. As for Ohatchee, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 18-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lincoln will head out to square off against Jacksonville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Ohatchee, they will venture away from home to face off against Westbrook Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
