Recap: Northwest Yeshiva Lions vs. Auburn Adventist Falcons
After flying high against the Pope John Paul II Eagles last Saturday, the Northwest Yeshiva Lions came back down to earth. Northwest Yeshiva was dealt a 86-38 defeat at the hands of Auburn Adventist on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Northwest Yeshiva has suffered yet this season.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joe Benoliel, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Evan Kaufthal, who scored seven points.
Northwest Yeshiva's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Auburn Adventist, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-2.
Northwest Yeshiva will be playing at home against Northwest Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Auburn Adventist, they will head out on the road to take on Summit Classical Christian School at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Summit Classical Christian School is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
