Basketball Recap: Williamsburg Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Charlie Caulder and Wyatt Dennis

Williamsburg Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 68-47 to the St. John's Christian Academy Cavaliers. The Stallions were not able to make up for their defeat to the Cavaliers from their previous meeting back in January.

Williamsburg Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Wyatt Dennis and Charlie Caulder. Dennis posted ten points, while Caulder put up ten points. Another player making a difference was Sammy Tomlinson, who earned seven points.

It was another big night for Thomas Hester, who went 10-for-19 en route to 27 points in addition to eight boards and five steals for St. John's Christian Academy. Hester also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Tradd Law was another key player, shooting 46% from the field on his way to 17 points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Williamsburg Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. John's Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Williamsburg Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Lee Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. John's Christian Academy, they will host Dorchester Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
