Softball Recap: St. Michael Catholic Takes a Loss

St. Michael Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Blacksher Bulldogs. If the Cardinals were looking for revenge after losing 17-5 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

St. Michael Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Blacksher, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as St. Michael Catholic Cardinals duke it out with T.R. Miller Tigers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. St. Michael Catholic's pitchers better be ready for this one: T.R. Miller has averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Blacksher, they will be taking part in a tournament against Robertsdale at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
