Baseball Game Preview: East Lee County Jaguars vs. Golden Gate Titans

East Lee County is 0-3 against Golden Gate since February of 2015 but things could change on Monday. The Jaguars will face off against the Titans at 7:00 p.m. Neither East Lee County nor Golden Gate posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

East Lee County lost 12-2 to Immokalee on Thursday.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Golden Gate and First Baptist Academy had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Titans came up short against the Lions on Tuesday, falling 12-2. The Titans have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Jonh Mairena made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

East Lee County's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Golden Gate, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-15.

East Lee County suffered a grim 11-1 defeat to Golden Gate when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
