The Mt. Carmel Golden Aces will take on the Cisne Runnin' Lions at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The timing is sure in Mt. Carmel's favor as the  team sits on five straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Cisne has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
Mt. Carmel's pitching crew heads into the  matchup  hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed  on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by  a  17-0 margin over Evansville Central. Considering the Golden Aces have won four contests by more than nine  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Evie Sellers made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave  her a new career-high in  strikeouts (four). She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs.

 In other batting news, Mt. Carmel let  Riley Hershey and  Leah Lewis run wild. Hershey  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with one  home run, five  RBI,  and three  runs, while  Lewis  fired off two  home runs and five  RBI while going 2-for-3. Those  two  home runs gave  Lewis a new career-high.  Lyla Keepes was another key player,  scoring two  runs while going 1-for-3.
 Mt. Carmel  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Evansville Central only managed four  hits.
Meanwhile, Cisne came up short against  Fairfield on Wednesday, falling  18-1.
 Cisne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Sidney Sullens, who  went a perfect 1-for-1 with one  RBI.
 Cisne's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mt. Carmel, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
 Thursday's   game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mt. Carmel hasn't had any issues making contact this season,  having earned a batting average of .452. However, it's not like Cisne struggles in that department as   they've  averaged .357. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
