Denver North extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Sammy Barajas. The Denver North Vikings sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 58-56 win over the Regis Groff Fusion on Tuesday thanks in part to Barajas, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine steals. He is becoming a predictor of Denver North's success: when he posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 6-7 when he doesn't).

Zach Thomas was another key player, putting up six points along with ten boards and three steals. Those ten rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Denver North's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Regis Groff, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

Denver North has already played their next contest, a 78-32 win against Montbello on the 6th. As for Regis Groff, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 72-48 defeat against Thomas Jefferson on the 7th.
