Baseball Game Preview: Bensalem Fighting Owls vs. Council Rock South Golden Hawks

For the second straight game, Bensalem will face off against Council Rock South. Bensalem will head out to challenge Council Rock South at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Bensalem is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 18 runs on Saturday, they were much more limited against Council Rock South on Monday. They lost 7-1 to the Golden Hawks. The Fighting Owls have struggled against the Golden Hawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

For Council Rock South's part, Reed Curtier was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Curtier has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Owen McLean, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Billy O'Neill was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple.

Council Rock South's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2. As for Bensalem, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
