Softball Recap: Morton Comes Up Short

Morton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 9-3 to the Washington Panthers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-0 back in April.

Morton's defeat dropped their record down to 6-25. As for Washington, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 28-2.

Coming up, Morton will head out to take on Dunlap at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.1 runs per game this season, so the Potters' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Washington, they will face off against Galesburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
