Football Recap: Hernando Tigers vs. Tupelo Golden Wave
Hernando dropped to 5-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins at home. They received a blow as they fell 35-17 to the Tupelo Golden Wave. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 35-6 to the Golden Wave when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Although Hernando took the loss, they still got scores from Terronce Walton and Myles Bryant.
As for Tupelo, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 37.7 points over those games.
Tupelo got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braylen Williams out in front who rushed for 117 yards and two TDs on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylan Bobo, who rushed for 86 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only ten carries.
