Basketball Game Preview: Jericho Jayhawks vs. Elmont Memorial Spartans

Jericho hasn't had much luck against Elmont Memorial recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Jericho Jayhawks will take on the Elmont Memorial Spartans at 12:00 p.m. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Jericho sitting on five straight wins and Elmont Memorial on 13 (dating back to last season).

Jericho is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 56-55 victory over Sewanhaka.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Elmont Memorial beat Roslyn 59-54 back in January.

Jericho's win bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Elmont Memorial, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Jericho took a serious blow against Elmont Memorial in their previous meeting back in February of 2020, falling 92-64. Can Jericho avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
