Basketball Recap: Georgetown Prep Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Georgetown Prep had won four straight home games dating back to last season and Patrick Mcdonough did his part to make it five on Saturday. The Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas claimed a resounding 93-17 win over Varsity Opponent thanks in part to Mcdonough, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points and eight steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.5 steals per game.

The team also got some help courtesy of Sinan Huan, who went 5 of 6 on his way to 11 points along with six boards and four steals. He is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last four games he's played.

The victory got Georgetown Prep back to even at 3-3.

Georgetown Prep will take on Our Lady of Good Counsel in a holiday battle at at 3:00 p.m. on December 21st. Our Lady of Good Counsel has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 67-66 loss against Wilson on the 14th.
