Community Christian had won two straight road games and Shane Pohler did his part to make it three on Tuesday. The Chargers narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Wakulla War Eagles 73-71 with plenty of help from Pohler, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 26 points and five assists. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.
Graham Liddell also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assist of the season. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played.
Community Christian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Wakulla, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Community Christian will face off against Liberty County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Chargers will need to watch out since the Bulldogs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Wakulla, they will square off against North Florida Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
