Volleyball Game Preview: Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants vs. Portage Northern Huskies

The Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants will venture away from home to face off against the Portage Northern Huskies at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Saturday, Kalamazoo Central came up short against Plainwell and fell 2-0.

Meanwhile, Portage Northern also suffered a loss in their last game, falling to Traverse City Central by a score of 2-0. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Portage Northern's loss dropped their record down to 20-17-1. As for Kalamazoo Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-21-4.

Kalamazoo Central couldn't quite get it done against Portage Northern in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as they fell 3-1. Can the Maroon Giants avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
