Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Wilkes). They were the clear victor by an 84-64 margin over the Wilkes Central Eagles on Friday. This was a revenge game for the Blackhawks: when they faced off against the Eagles back in January, they had to take a 81-75 defeat.

Wilkes Central's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Fernando Allen, who went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points and seven rebounds. Jordan Denny was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 10 points.

West Wilkes has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.8 points over those games. As for Wilkes Central, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
