Football Recap: Wayne Preparatory Academy Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for Wayne Preparatory Academy's offense. They were beaten by the Wake Christian Academy Bulldogs 44-0 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Generals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 257th, while the Bulldogs are ranked ninth).

Wake Christian Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Stiltner, who threw for 115 yards and three TDs, and also rushed for 61 yards on only eight carries. Trace Turner was another key rusher, rushing for 53 yards and one touchdown on only five carries.

Wayne Preparatory Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Wake Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.

Looking ahead, Wayne Preparatory Academy will be playing at home against GRACE Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Wake Christian Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. David's at 7:00 p.m. on the 24th.
