Softball Recap: Boardman Sets Scoring Season-High Against Tuslaw

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boardman). They put the hurt on the Tuslaw Mustangs with a sharp 24-18 victory on Saturday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Boardman is on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Tuslaw, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-10.

Coming up, Boardman will take on West Branch at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Spartans' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 7.7 runs per game this season. As for Tuslaw, they will head out on the road to face off against Perry at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
