Decatur has gone 8-2 against Jefferson recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Golden Gators will head out on the road to take on the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Decatur and five for Jefferson.

Things were looking good for Decatur after they put the first run on the board on Thursday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 6-3 to White River.

Meanwhile, Jefferson fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Federal Way on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 13-12.

Jefferson got a massive performance out of Jesabella Arceo, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Robertson, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Decatur, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.

Monday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Decatur has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .484. However, it's not like Jefferson struggles in that department as they've averaged .493. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Decatur beat Jefferson 12-8 in their previous meeting back in April. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Golden Gators since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
