Baseball Recap: Holy Redeemer Makes It Eight in a Row at Home

While Holy Redeemer's victory against Hanover Area wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Royals had just enough and edged out the Hawkeyes 8-6. The win was familiar territory for the Royals, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Zachary Schultz made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

In other batting news, Holy Redeemer got a big performance out of Noah Hummel, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double. That stolen base marked the first that Hummel has snagged this season. Kayden Stevenson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

Holy Redeemer was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. The last time their batting average was this high was back in April of 2024.
