Franklin extended their winning streak to seven on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 12-4 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Marshall Barristers. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 5-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

The team relied heavily on Javier Solis, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Joseph Galindo, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Marshall, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season. They have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

On Marshall's side, Emmett Plath spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, Andrew Torres was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run. Sebastian Alonzo was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Franklin beat Marshall by a score of 8-4 on Friday.
