Baseball Recap: Triton Comes Up Short

Triton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-13 heartbreaker at the hands of the North Judson-San Pierre Bluejays. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bluejays apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Triton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Drew Bingamon, who fired off two home runs, three runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Another was Max Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Triton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for North Judson-San Pierre, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

While Triton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
