Basketball Recap: Terryville Comes Up Short

Terryville played a tough contest on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Windham RVT Mighty Tigers, falling 76-52. While losing is never fun, the Kangaroos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Mighty Tigers are ranked 36th).

Windham RVT's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brady Marsh, who posted 23 points and five assists. Marsh is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last 14 games he's played dating back to last season. Fischer Jones was another key player, putting up 17 points along with five assists and five boards.

Terryville's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Windham RVT, their record is now 10-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terryville will head out to face off against Housatonic-Lakeview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Windham RVT, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Harvard Ellis Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Windham RVT's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
