Baseball Recap: Saranac's Run of Four Straight Wins Now Over

After flying high against AuSable Valley on Friday, Saranac came back down to earth. The Spartans lost 10-3 to the Beekmantown Eagles on Monday. The contest marked the Spartans' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Seth Petrashune was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Robbie Squier, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

The defeat snapped Saranac's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-2 record. As for Beekmantown, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Saranac has already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Chazy on the 6th. Hopefully Beekmantown paid attention to the Spartans' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
