Basketball Recap: Ridgeline Picks Up 16th Straight Win at Home

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Ridgeline walked away with it. They managed a 54-48 victory over the University Titans on Thursday. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 25th, while the Titans are ranked 87th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Ridgeline's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Madilyn Crowley, who dropped a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds. Crowley has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more boards the last four times she's played. Cayce Paske was another key player, putting up 13 points and seven rebounds.

Ridgeline smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive rebounds in three consecutive contests.

Ridgeline's win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.4 points over those games. As for University, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-12.

Coming up, Ridgeline will welcome Hermiston at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. University does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
