El Capitan waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Golden Valley Cougars 41-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Gauchos' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 46th, while the Cougars are ranked 575th).

El Capitan's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aaliyah Simonian, who threw for 286 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for 59 yards and one score. That's the most passing touchdowns Simonian has posted over her last three games. A healthy portion of Simonian's aerial production (122 yards to be exact) went to Avnoor Bains, who also brought in three receiving touchdowns.
