Basketball Recap: New Underwood Skates Past Bennett County with Ease

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but New Underwood had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 73-46 win over the Bennett County Warriors. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 27 points or more this season.

New Underwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sam Enos, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 19 points along with six assists and five boards. Enos is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 57% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Zeke Enos, who shot 54% from the field en route to 17 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.

New Underwood smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 12 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

New Underwood pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.6 points. As for Bennett County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.

New Underwood will face off against Wall at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wall will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something New Underwood surely won't give up without a fight. Bennett County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
