Basketball Recap: Warroad Takes a Loss

If Warroad was feeling good fresh off their 76-44 takedown of Wadena-Deer Creek last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Warroad Warriors fell 79-67 to the Pelican Rapids Vikings on Saturday. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in December of 2018.

Warroad's loss dropped their record down to 23-5. As for Pelican Rapids, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.

Warroad does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pelican Rapids, they will venture away from home to square off against East Grand Forks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Pelican Rapids' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 15 matchups.
