Softball Recap: Jackson-Reed Falls Short of Georgetown Visitation Prep in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Jackson-Reed can now relate to. They lost 12-2 to the Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 20 runs in the game before, the Tigers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Jackson-Reed saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Nehrer, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. Nehrer is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

Jackson-Reed moved to 10-9-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-8 record this season.

As of now, neither Jackson-Reed nor Georgetown Visitation Prep have any future games scheduled.
