East Liverpool and Brooke are an even 3-3 against one another since April of 2017, but likely not for long. The Potters will head out on the road to face off against the Bruins at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. East Liverpool has given up an average of 12.1 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

East Liverpool saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braden Duke, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That RBI marked the first that Duke brought in this season.
Meanwhile, Brooke got the win against Buckeye Local on Wednesday by a conclusive 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Bruins, who have now won eight matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
Andrew Murdock was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. Murdock was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Brooke's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 5-7 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Garrett Moore, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Brooke is 8-1 when Moore posts two or more runs, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Zac O'Mery, who went 2-for-3 with five RBI, two runs, and one double.
Brooke always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .517. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive contests.
East Liverpool's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Brooke, their record now sits at 11-7.
East Liverpool skirted past Brooke 5-3 in their previous matchup back in April of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Potters since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
