Preview: Inspired Vision EAGLES vs. Village Tech Viper Squid
Inspired Vision has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Village Tech Viper Squid at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Last Friday, Inspired Vision was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 65-59 to Gateway Charter Academy. Even though they lost, Inspired Vision's still made a splash on offense and bumped their average scoring up to 50.2 points per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Inspired Vision might have lost, but man, Tyree Sheffield was a machine: he scored 31 points. That was a full 52.5% of Inspired Vision's points, marking the 13th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Gabriel Kalala was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Meanwhile, in a tight match that could have gone either way, Village Tech made off with a 59-58 win over Gateway Charter Academy. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Village Tech.
Inspired Vision has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-19 record this season. As for Village Tech, their win bumped their record up to 11-17.
Inspired Vision might still be hurting after the 48-27 defeat they got from Village Tech in their previous matchup back in January. Can Inspired Vision avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
